Question about book format

Hello friends,


I recently joined this forum and would like to ask if there is a format required for ebook files, such as .epub, .pdf, .cbr, etc.

My other question is if audiobooks (mp3 format or another) are also accepted for uploading.

Hi, welcome!

For normal ebooks we prefer Epub format.
But if there is no epub at the moment, you can post another format.
But ,if you post a pdf and another member post an epub, your pdf will be removed.

For the comics we have cbr,cbz ,pdf and maybe other formats i can't remember yet.

Audiobooks we don't have ( yet)

I have to ask the admin about this.

Mp3 format for audiobooks ???

When we built this site , I want always a section for audiobooks

But sizes are huge as much as I know ... Technic team not accepted but for a while they said to me we can open a section for audiobook (MP3) formats ... Honestly I didnt think on it again ...

I will ask to our tech team again , maybe we can open new section for it

The quality of the audio file won’t be affected by archiving it, it just makes it easier and more manageable for servers to deal with. You would normally set an archive size of 100mb (as that is the biggest attachment allowed on site) so a 500mb MP3 file would be split into 5 rar/zip files and you normally need all files to unrar/unzip the original file

For ebooks the preferred format is epub (then mobi, then pdf) but the OP is asking about audiobooks and specifically MP3 (as those are normally the smallest files compared to M4B or flac eg)
