I'm just looking at updating my devices.  My Ipad I use a lot for reading, it's easy I take it with me everywhere so when I get a few minutes I can pick it up and find everything I want in one place.  I use PDF's via Ibooks for my iPad, but thought this morning about updating with a mobi or Epub reader.      I noticed on ebooks home page there is a really helpful guide to types of formats but I wonder, what everyone's favourite Epub/Mobi reader is?        I just took a quick look via search engine and oh boy!  There are soo many out there...     Therefore, thought I would ask you guys what you are using/recommendations please.  Thankyou..

I like using Calibre for reading on my PC. It's completely free, & there's a bunch of free things you're able to do within the app if you're tech savy & want more than just an e-book reader. It's also simple enough for anyone to use. You can also make the book bigger by just pulling on the sides if the default size isn't to your liking. There's also lots of options to change text size, etc. You can also use Calibre for your tablet & phone, but it's not through an app. It's basically connecting your tablet to USB and such.

I've also tried out Ice Cream Reader out, and I liked it as well. A lot of my friends who do not like Calibre actually uses Ice Cream reader and likes it. It's free as well, and there's a premium version as well.

For my tablet, I like to use ReadEra instead of Calibre because I don't need to hook it up to my PC. It's free as well. It'll ask you if you want to get premium like once a month, but that's it. It doesn't bombard you with ads like a lot of the other apps do. It will also get your books off Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. I specifically chose this app because I keep all of my e-books on OneDrive & ReadEra actually offers it. Most other apps only offers Google Drive. Keeping my e-books in OneDrive allows me to use it on PC & Mobile without having to keep it backed up somewhere for different devices.

For Android, I found ReadEra to be the best. You can adjust the font size, the spacing of the text, the colors of both text and background, and more. You can sort books into series, and track what you read, where you are up to. There are no adverts.

I'm still using an old version of Aldiko on Android.
I can connect it to my Calibre webserver so I don't have to connect my device to my computer, I can transfer a book over WiFi.
And since it's an old version, no advertisements, no subscription, and night-day mode for those sleepless nights
