Jersey Shore taffy shop owner and amateur sleuth, Lydia Doherty, can’t resist jumping in to solve a mystery when one pops up. When the owner of a local miniature golf course is found dead, Lydia discovers that there has been a long-standing feud between the two competing mini golf places in town. Could the seemingly petty feud have escalated to murder? Lydia is determined to find out.
Her investigation becomes way more difficult, however, when she finds herself having to temporarily stay at the home of her brother, who just happens to be a detective. He’s never approved of Lydia getting involved in police business, which makes for a somewhat contentious relationship at times.
