Anabella’s father has been raising her to be a doctor ever since she was ten years old, even though her real passion lies in the world of art. Defying her father’s plans for her future, Ana applies for a degree in fine art as well as medical school. The trouble begins when her acceptance letter to York St John University arrives. Yearning to find her own way in life she rejects her place at medical school and pursues her own dreams of becoming an artist instead.
Needing time to reflect on her chosen path she travels to Italy to stay with her Nonna; the eccentric, but ever supportive grandmother that introduced her to art years before. Join Ana as she takes time to explore the beautiful seaside town of Pisciotta and encounters handsome painter Sam; who teaches her as much about romance as he does about painting.
